I was aware of Barrett's work several years before he did consulting work at the firm where I, then, worked. His analysis of corporate culture "entropy", it turned out, accurately predicted the demise of the company (including the timeline). Regrettably, his consulting company was fired by our CEO who was convinced he could "Six Sigma" his way out of a complex array of problems -- that were all detailed in the reports of our culture, the worst of which was that the workforce was hostile to senior management. We had a roadmap to fix it, but, too often, stupid people make really stupid decisions. Barrett's insights and methods are a genius-level contribution to understanding corporate culture.
