I like the product and the outcome but had to hire a handyman to assemble and drill the holes bigger to assemble. It’s very nice looking and suits my needs perfectly. It works but it’s not super sturdy. One of the rods keeps falling down so I cannot put a blanket on that one. I got it up and assembled so it works but I probably won’t be buying it again.I bought this on the off chance that it would be sturdy enough to display my Wife's full-flower, custom Western saddle. I assembled it using Gorilla Glue in all of the joints and it is plenty robust enough to hold a saddle. It makes a very attractive display in the family room. I would not recommend trying to sit in the saddle, but for a display item it works just fine. I put it together by myself and I do think it would have been a lot easier with an extra pair of hands.Purchased as a stand to put an old saddle on display. I wouldn’t put my weight on it, but it does the job! It wasn’t too difficult to put together, though you really do need two people to get all the rods lined up while screwing in the second side (middle rod doesn’t screw in, it’s just held in place). End caps to cover screw holes were kind of a pain to get in; I ended up hammering one on and using sticky putty to make two others stay in place.works greatProduct was not easy to assemble.Screws were too large for the size of rods and one rod was shorter than the others. The stand looks nice and is solid construction. A good value but I found it impossible to assemble as delivered. I found it is very difficult to get the screws started into the ends of the rods. Once started I could not drive the screws in with the Allen head wrench provided. I needed to ream out the pilot holes with a 3/16" drill to be able to drive screws into the rods. Do NOT use a larger drill bit as that may compromise the sturdiness of the assembled stand. If you wax or put bar soap on the screws that aids in driving them into the rods. A 4 mm Allen head socket and wrench will make the task much easier.Didn’t like it at all. I should have listened to some of the reviews. The holes were way to small for the screws. So I thought I could make the holes a little bit bigger by drilling them which I wished I wouldn’t have done, now I can’t send it back. Even went and bought new screws and that didn’t work. I usually don’t give many reviews but this really aggravated me. So don’t waste your money like I did. I’m just out $50 dollars.A very nice quilt and blanket holder and seems to be quite sturdy, which is very important! It looks great when done! Very sturdy. The 4 outer rods have screws and the inner two are held in by force so it’s prudent to add the inner two before completely tightening. The screw tightening is tough, but with the right tools and setup, it’s just fine. One person can do this by putting it together on its side and screwing downwards instead of sideways. Get something to rest the other edge on so it doesn’t need to be held up. The problem I suspect most reviewers have had, is screwing in with super force. This is easily handled in two ways, get two vice grips ready and attach one to the rod(just under the end being attached) that you are screwing and keep one of your hands on the rod. Your arm should easily keep the rod from turning while you screw. The second vice grip is only needed should you not get enough torque on the small Allen key provided. I did the screws without the second vice grip, but should you need it, just attach it to the Allen key, lengthwise, and the extended handle created by this will give you all the torque need. Put in the wood caps only after everything looks great and sturdy. Use a cloth to cover the cap and bang down to get it in. Be careful to check that the inner rods can’t shift and fall out, do this before adding the wood caps and tighten even more if needed.I was aware this product may have minor damage but it arrived broken and unusable and there was paperwork from the previous person it was delivered to in the box.It belongs in the garbage but I will send it back since returns are free, I just hope it isn't sent to another customer without being looked at first!Perfect size and am very pleased with it. The only drawback is the screws are big and the holes are much smaller. My husband stripped two screws trying to get them in. The elm wrench that comes with it is very cheap and after doing a few screws it kept slipping which eventually stripped the head of the screws. Now we have to go out and buy two more screws. I would suggest that you get a heavy duty elm wrench to put the screws in. This is the only reason why it did not get a five star rating from me. Other than the screws I absolutely love the look and size of this quilt rack. This was a nightmare to put together, so frustrating. The screw holes were much too small and not aligned correctly. We had to drill the holes to enlarge and straighten. The enclosed wrench was of no use to us, we used a torque screwdriver instead. It seems that it should be basic to have properly sized and aligned screw holes. Once assembled, the product seems good and sturdy.
