This is a typical University sociology book written in anticipation of a PhD or a promotion. I learned things from it but not nearly as much as I had hoped. There's a lot of political correctness evident in the writing and this reduces its value quite a bit but this could have been much worse. This is a good addition to a collection on the subject but don't depend upon it as your only source. I would buy it again.
